Copyright Policy

Ocarina Legend, provided by Zaceos LLC. Effective September 12, 2026.

The short version:

1. What we distribute

We distribute the app itself: its code, artwork, built-in songs and song charts. Songs labeled Core are public-domain melodies in arrangements made for Ocarina Legend. Open-source software and other third-party material included in the app, and the licenses it is used under, are listed in our Third-party notices.

2. What we do not host

Sheet music and images you import are read and stored in your own browser. They are not uploaded to us, so we cannot view, copy or remove them. If you believe someone has published a recording or copy of your work on another website or platform, please contact that website or platform directly.

3. How to send us a copyright notice

Email legal@zaceos.com with the subject line "Copyright notice". To help us act on it, include all of the following (these match the elements of a notice under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. 512(c)(3)). We ask for this format because it gives us what we need to find and review the material quickly; it does not mean the app stores content for its users, which it does not.

  1. Your physical or electronic signature, or that of a person authorized to act for the copyright owner.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed.
  3. Identification of the material in Ocarina Legend you believe infringes it, with enough detail for us to find it, such as the song title, theme name, screen or web address.
  4. Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act for the owner.

4. What happens next

We review every notice we receive. If a notice is complete and we conclude the material infringes, we will remove or disable it in the app and on this site and let you know. If a notice is missing required information, we will tell you what is missing. If you believe material was removed by mistake, email us with an explanation and we will look at it again.

Please make sure a notice is accurate before you send it. Under 17 U.S.C. 512(f), a person who knowingly misrepresents that material infringes can be liable for damages.

5. If we add sharing features

The app does not currently let users upload or share content with other users. If we add a feature that does, we will update this policy before it launches, including a designated agent registered with the US Copyright Office and a policy for ending access for repeat infringers.

6. Trademark concerns

If you believe the app uses your trademark in a way that causes confusion, email legal@zaceos.com with the mark, where it appears in the app, and your contact details.
